With over 12 years of dance experience in a variety of styles, she brings an eclectic mix of rhythms and feelings into every set. Eria is a repeat DJ at the DJ Experiment in Philadelphia, an organizer of fusion events in her home scene of Baltimore, and is almost constantly flitting up and down the east coast to bring her passion for music to the atlantic house party scenes.
Ben started DJing in the summer of 2009 with an unexpected opportunity at a New York City blues dance. From there he went on to become a regular DJ at DJ Experiment and Powerhouse Blues, both in Philadelphia, with guest sets from Boston to San Francisco, before going national at the Albany Lindy and Blues Exchange and the Las Vegas Fusion Exchange. He loves variety and transition, moving with purpose from one genre/tempo/vibe to the next, selecting from a range of songs including downtempo, soul, house, blues, lyrical, and international.
Kathleen discovered fusion in 2012 after building a background in blues, salsa, contra, and bhangra. She got hooked at the Las Vegas Fusion Exchange and became a DJ to recreate the excitement of that incredible weekend. For the past 5 years she's honed her craft spinning at blues and fusion events in NYC, where she runs a monthly outdoor fusion dance.
Kathleen enjoys exploring and cross-pollinating with other scenes, and she has played at events like DJX Fusion Weekend in Philly, Motley Hue in NYC, High-Fidelity Fusion in Seattle, Mission Fusion in SF, and Montreal InFused. She enjoys creating a mood for dancers to play with – whether playful or intense, sexy or soulful. She loves discovering new artists, and she can never resist a good cover.
Luella got her casual start to DJing at a weekly blues/fusion dance where she played music from the jukebox for years. Since then, she has occasionally DJed for First Sunday Fusion and fusion dance house parties. In 2017, Luella founded QT Fusion Dance for the LGBTQ+ community, where she is primary DJ and lead organizer. She also founded Spectrum Dance DC, DJing regularly there for six months. Her dance background includes blues, bachata, west coast swing, Lindy Hop, zouk, and of course fusion. Luella is so excited to be a part of DC’s first fusion dance exchange!
Marshall Douglas has been DJing for fusion and blues dances in DC for over six years, and is one of the founders and organizers of the DC area’s premier fusion dance, First Sunday Fusion. He cut his teeth DJing at house parties at (in)famous dance houses in DC that unfortunately no longer exist, and now regularly DJs for First Sunday Fusion, and for other fusion dance events and house parties in the region. He loves to play multiple genres of music from around the world, mixing old classics with songs that just dropped last week. He loves tracking what dancers are responding to, and shifting through genres and energy levels, but his sweet spot is recapturing that feeling you have in the early hours of the morning, when you’re sweaty and exhausted and oh so joyful, and if no one stops you, you’ll just keep dancing ‘til dawn’s first light.

Shawn will touch your soul and move your feet with an eclectic mix of music electronic dubstep to melty covers and everything in between.
